Paris

We stayed in Paris for a few days with family before the babymoon and just one night after. My love affair with this city is about 20 years old, and right after New York, LA, and Kyiv, Paris is the next city I know best and still love. There will be just a few reflections from this trip in this material, but by clicking on this link you’ll find my ongoing love letter to the city.

Being pregnant in Paris is not as much fun, I’d be honest, you can’t really walk the usual 20K steps, have wine, raw fish or energy for the late evening fun. And yet, always a pleasure to stay, even if just for a few nights.

Most of the nights we stayed in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in the small boutique hotels, and a few nights in XVI arr near Place du Trocadero, where we found an apartment with a stunning terrace overlooking the whole city and the Eiffel Tower really close so that the 85-year-old barely walking grandparents could enjoy the view full-time. Anyway, let’s talk facts, in the photos below you’ll find: Le Procope, a very traditional French restaurant, the food was actually great, and the setup was even better; a man reading a book bigger than life at Les Éditeurs, yes, very on point, also my favourite square of Saint Germain; new coffee shop CHEZ, croissants for the whole fam from beloved Jozi, near Pantheon; bits of the beautiful apartment we stayed in, which belongs to some of the Wendel heirs; another frequent spot - Coutume; crazy August wasps of Paris and endless views of the city.
